Згодом міністр оборони Росії Сергій Шойгу віддав вказівку щодо запровадження режиму припинення вогню у війні проти України з 12:00 6 січня на 36 годину. Як повідомили у російському військовому відомстві, перемир’я діятиме з 12.00 6 січня до 24.00 7 січня. Але Київ вважає, що таким чином Москва хоче знизити інтенсивність боїв на певний час, аби згодом мати можливість для наступу.
