The next line of code is an interruptible_sleep_on() call. On some occasions, the A/D board generates an interrupt BEFORE the i_s_o() call is complete, so the task is never put to sleep and added to the queue (I hope I have that right, I'm very new to this stuff...).

Probably worth double checking how it does it's selection as well - I've a feeling it's a raw Issue status check - in which case we'll probably want to pull the board config from JIRA so that any board settings are taken into account (for example if someone's created a custom issue status). We'll need to run a check for board config at a later date anyway as probably only want to show a link to the Kanban page for projects that are actually using Kanban.
